Cara Elzie (she/her)

Yakima, Washington

Arizona State University, Undergraduate

Cara Lynn is a student at Arizona State University studying History, Justice Studies, and Sustainable Food Systems. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, especially in Washington State, she developed a deep connection to the coast through tide pooling, beach walks, and observing coastal wildlife like otters and puffins. Her work with CFCN is driven by a passion for environmental justice and the belief that the health of our communities is deeply connected to the health of our ecosystems. She is also interested in sustainability within agricultural systems and the environmental impacts of factory farming and plastic pollution on marine life. Outside of CFCN, she teaches International Humanitarian Law through the American Red Cross and keeps pet isopods.
