Ellie Umberg is a current high school junior working to reduce waste and promote a circular economy while advocating for more climate youth action! This is really important to her because the planet is our home that we share with so many incredible species and it is our responsibility to maintain it not only for ourselves, but for the organisms who were here before us (coastal birds!). Her main interest outside of CFCN is cooking, and she was actually thinking of incorporating a sustainable cooking aspect into her project!
