Headshot of Katherine Lick

Katherine Lick (she/her)

Minneapolis, Minnesota

University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Recent Graduate

Katherine is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a degree in Sociology of Law, Crime, and Justice and a minor in Sustainability Studies. For her Coastline Stewardship Project, she’s creating a Community Education Presentation on how human activity can unintentionally affect migratory birds, specifically through bird-window collisions and artificial light at night. She’ll share this presentation with her local community through the public library and highlight simple steps people can take to make their homes and communities more bird-friendly. She cares about this work because she is passionate about finding ways that people can better coexist with and protect the environment around them. Outside of CFCN, she loves traveling, learning about our planet and its atmosphere, and ballroom dancing!
