Natasha Kelley (she/her)

Huntington Beach, California

Huntington Beach High School, 11th Grade

Natasha Kelley is a junior in high school. For her coastline stewardship project, she designs and distributes infographics at her school that highlight bird-window collisions statistics, their impact on our ecosystems, and actionable steps for conservation that individuals can follow at home to protect local birds. This work is valuable to her because these species are vital in local food webs, and many threatened migratory birds visit our habitats regularly, particularly at the Bolsa Chica wetlands. Addressing this concern is valuable to both prevent population declines from highly-preventable fatalities alongside disruptions to many of these birds' natural patterns of migration. Outside of CFCN, she enjoys spending most of her time reading.
